But what conclusions do you draw about your potential actions on the turn if your opponent calls?

In many instances a www.fulltiltpoker.com player will be tempted by making a second bet on the turn, partly I suppose because if you check then your opponent will probably push you out with a raise whether he made his hand or not.

In these circumstances it is important to consider draws which might be available and whether the turn makes these more likely to have been hit. A flat call of a bluff on the flop does not mean you should automatically give up the facade and check your poker hand.

Often a secondary bet when a seemingly harmless card falls will induce a fold from an opponent. If it does not, then you will definately get more information about your opponents hand. If you are re raised at this point then you are probably only going to cost yourself more chips if you call. If you are flat called you are more likely to be up against either a draw being chased, or a big hand being slow played.

The main thing to remember at fulltilt poker.com in online poker is that raising on the flop and subsequent turn can often win you the pot, but you must be calculating the reasons why your opponent is calling and use your best judgement.

Be aware of your table image too, loose players are more likely to be slow played. But, do not be deterred from putting out these probing bets to see where you stand, they will win you the pot outright more often than you would think.
